2.0  WHAT ARE “COOKIES”?

Cookies are in effect, tiny computer files and functions, that can sit or rest on your computer operating system. We use such cookies to improve the user experience of our website. We would therefore like to provide you some information about how and to what extent we use cookies. You do not need to have cookies enabled to visit our website. However, you will not be able to order our products if you have cookies disabled in your computer web browser.

 3.0 ARE COOKIES DANGEROUS?

Cookies are simply files that contain text or numbers and cannot execute or perform any functions on their own. This makes it impossible for cookies to transmit viruses or send e-mails without your knowledge. The cookies we use serve primarily to enhance the functionality of our website and also allow us to continue improving the website. We limit the number of cookies we use and keep their lifespan to a minimum to protect your data while giving you an excellent user experience on our website. Our saved search function cookie allows you to search our website’s core information, our details and public directories. These are not considered to be detrimental to your computer system, files or records. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may however prevent you from taking full advantage of the functions and enjoyment of our website.

Performance cookies allow us to optimise our site – by using links more efficiently, for instance – and let us identify and fix errors on our site immediately. All this helps us give you the smoothest experience possible on our website.

4 (c) Functionality cookies: We use cookies to remember your settings. Any data you enter, such as your username, is stored and already available on your next visit. These cookies also allow us to give you broader, more personalised features with additional functionality, such as displaying a notification if you are using an outdated browser. The scope of these cookies does not extend beyond our website, which means they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

4 (d) Targeting cookies or advertising cookies: We use cookies to deliver adverts more relevant to you and your interests. These cookies are used to limit the number of times you see an advert and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, for instance. They are usually placed by advertising networks with our permission.

Some of these cookies enable tracking, which means that a user’s behaviour while using other websites from different operators can be analysed.
